/Frequently Asked Questions

What is Beef Tallow Balm?

Beef Tallow Balm is a rich skin care product made from beef tallow. Our balm combines beef tallow with olive oil, beeswax, and vitamin E, and is suitable for dry, rough, and stressed skin.

The formula is intentionally simple and contains no fragrances, essential oils, or unnecessary additives.

On which areas of my skin can I use the balm?

You can use the balm on your face, hands, lips, elbows, knees, or dry areas of your body.

Since the balm is very rich, a small amount goes a long way. It’s best to apply it sparingly and reapply as needed.

Is Beef Tallow Balm suitable for children?

Yes. Our Beef Tallow Balm was one of the first tallow products in Germany to undergo a cosmetic safety assessment and has received a CPSR. According to the safety assessment, the product is suitable for children ages 1 and up.

Please do not apply to open wounds, mucous membranes, or directly into the eyes. If your child has very sensitive skin or existing skin conditions, we recommend consulting with your pediatrician before use.

Is the balm suitable for babies?

According to the CPSR safety assessment, our Beef Tallow Balm is suitable for children ages 1 and up.

For babies under 12 months, we do not recommend using this product without first consulting a pediatrician.

Is the balm suitable for sensitive skin?

The formula is intentionally simple and contains no fragrances, perfumes, or essential oils. This makes the balm ideal for anyone who prefers a minimalist skincare routine.

If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend testing the product on a small area of skin first.

Is the balm greasy?

The Beef Tallow Balm is a rich, water-free moisturizer. That’s why even a small amount is enough.

If it seems too rich for you, use less product and massage it in well. It feels especially nice when applied to slightly damp skin.

Does the balm smell like beef tallow?

The balm is free of fragrances and essential oils. As a result, it has no perfumed scent. To us, the balm has a very pleasant, neutral scent.

Can I use the balm if I have neurodermatitis or eczema?

Our Beef Tallow Balm is a cosmetic skincare product, not a medication. It is intended for the care of dry, rough, and stressed skin.

If you have neurodermatitis, eczema, or other skin conditions, you should consult your doctor or dermatologist before use.

How often should I use the balm?

You can use the balm as needed—for example, in the morning, in the evening, or whenever your skin feels dry or rough.

Since the product goes a long way, we recommend starting with a small amount.

Is the Beef Tallow Balm vegan?

No. The balm contains beef tallow and beeswax, so it is not vegan.

How should I store the balm?

Please store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as the balm may otherwise become liquid. This is a natural process that does not affect the quality, and the balm will return to its original consistency once the temperature drops again.

Since the balm is made with natural fats, its consistency may change depending on the temperature. This does not affect the quality.
